Designed specifically for full contact medieval combat sport, based on historical patterns with a modern twist. We tailor for women too, no extra ties and loops to catch in armour, just tailored to fit you.

Our buhurt gambeson features breathable and durable fabrics. The fast drying wadding is 2 layers in the main garment, and as standard comes with integral spine protection of 6 layers extending up into the collar, also 4 layers on the shoulders and hips. Wadding is removed from the inside of the elbows and under arms to prevent bunching. The sleeves are designed for maximum mobility using a historical grande assiette sleeve head with ergonomic elbows. Gambesons come with our Armour Attachment System as standard on the shoulders and upper arms, removing the need for arming points. Additional AAS for back of neck and elbows can be added as an option.

Outer fabric is linen, wadding cotton blend, lining linen blend.

Choose from standard sizes or custom for made-to-measure fit, custom colours or added embroidery. You can order standard sizes in custom colours if you don’t need made-to-measure.
